Common questions

How do I join a team?

Your coach or team manager will send you an invite link or a 6-character team code. Tap the link from your phone, or open Teamstead, sign in, and choose "Join a team" to enter the code.

How do I create a team?

Open the app, sign in, and you'll be walked through the onboarding wizard. Pick your sport, name your team, and you're ready. Once your team exists, share the invite code with families from the Roster screen.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link. If you signed in with Apple or Google, use the same option again — there's no separate password.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your children's profiles, your messages, and your payment history. If you cannot access the app, email support@getteamstead.com from the address on file and we will delete your account within 30 days.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad: Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Teamstead → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

I was charged but my subscription isn't active.

This is usually a temporary sync issue with the App Store. Force-quit the app and reopen it, or sign out and back in. If it doesn't resolve within an hour, email support@getteamstead.com with your Apple receipt and we'll fix it manually.

Payments — does Teamstead process credit cards?

No. Payment requests from your team manager open Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle directly. You complete the transaction in those apps. Teamstead only tracks who has paid and who hasn't. The "I paid" button is a self-report — your team manager confirms it on their end.

Can I get a refund on a subscription?

Subscription refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your Teamstead purchase. Apple makes the final decision on refunds.

How do I switch teams if I'm on more than one?

Tap your team name at the top of the screen and pick another team from the list. Or, if you have kids on multiple teams, turn on Family View from the same menu to see everything at once.

Push notifications aren't arriving.

Check three things:

  1. iOS Settings → Notifications → Teamstead → make sure Allow Notifications is on.
  2. In the app, Settings → Notifications → check that the categories you want (chat, events, payments, digest) are enabled.
  3. If you signed in on a new device, push tokens may need a few minutes to refresh. Force-quit and reopen the app.

What sports are supported?

Baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey, lacrosse, football, cheer, dance, gymnastics, track, swim, golf, and tennis. The app is sport-agnostic — pick yours during onboarding for the right icons and emoji.

Is Teamstead on Android?

Not yet. iOS is our primary platform today. Android is on the roadmap.
